Project manager

The Project Manager is responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget and exceeding the customers’ expectations. In addition to the latter, other responsibilities include being the primary liaison between the company and the customer requiring clear & concise communication, and effectively following processes while recording the data correctly according to protocol. Critical thinking, customer service, social perception, generous listening and strong communication skills are vital to the position. This position reports to the Owner.
Project Manager Contract Responsibilities:

  • Flexible Hours Outside of 7:00AM – 5:00PM
  • Accurate review of customer contracts for color, size and other options at the re-measure
  • Effective communication with the Production Manager of missing contract line items
  • Develop and execute action plans that are within the company’s scope of work
  • Coordinate with Homeowners, Vendors and Installation Crews to ensure a seamless install
  • Prepare all parties leading up to the day of installation, including weather related delays
  • Quality control during the installation of each project to include:
    • Facilitate an accurate delivery of materials on the day of install
    • Review of labor costs for accuracy and that the materials onsite are sufficient
    • Installation Preparation (i.e. crew apparel, job signs posted, etc.)
    • Review job packets with the installation crew to verify work is being completed in accordance with the contract
    • Installation according to manufacturer specifications
    • Onsite contact throughout the entire installation process
  • Return additional material to our vendors to protect job margins
  • Collecting final payment and/or completion certificate from the customer when required

Non-Essential Contract Responsibilities:

  • Production Manager responsibilities
  • Conduct interviews as requested by the Owner, as needed
  • Conduct ongoing training and in-field management, as needed
  • Conduct weekly Production Meetings, as needed
  • Assist or mentor new Project Foreman
  • Recruiting


  • At least 5 years of Home Improvement Industry Experience
  • 2 years in Project Management / Project Coordinator Experience in Residential Replacement Products Preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook (experience with CRM is a plus)
  • Ability to use iPad, iPhone Technology & Apps
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment to solve customer issues and to provide insight on action plans to drive superior customer service
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Self-motivated and disciplined to work independently or the ability to work as a team or independently
  • Comfortable with operating inside/outside the office and customers’ homes, in all climate conditions
  • Able to communicate with homeowners clearly and effectively
  • Travel may require significant time spent driving. Clean driving record required
  • While performing the duties of this job, the consultant is regularly required to talk or hear. The Remodeling Consultant is frequently required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
